About Daniel
Daniel Wong is passionate about personal growth. He is always excited about experiencing personal growth for himself, but he is even more excited when he sees other people growing and experiencing transformation in their lives. He is interested in and knowledgeable about a wide range of personal development topics, such as learning, education, goal-setting, time management, pursuing your dreams, and relationships.
Daniel’s determined pursuit of personal growth and of a life of even greater abundance began at the age of 19, when he realized that he had “achieved” many things, yet he was not experiencing the fulfillment that he desired. He suddenly became aware that achievements and accolades– no matter how amazing or noble– never truly satisfy, if they are not motivated by the right purpose. He started on a journey of intense, holistic personal development– physical, emotional, mental, spiritual. Through it, he discovered many keys to leading a life of abundance, and that we can all love life so much more than we do now.
Daniel was so eager to share what he had learned that he ran his first seminar on finding your purpose and direction in life, entitled “Why Is My Life Going Nowhere? And What I Can Do About It,” in July 2009. He has also spoken to many high school and junior college students about topics such as goal-setting and developing a personal vision for your life. Daniel wrote a biweekly column for Duke University’s The Chronicle, and his articles can be found here.
Daniel is currently studying Mechanical Engineering and Economics at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. His family resides in Singapore.
This is Daniel’s Personal Mission Statement:
“I inspire, in myself and in others, a commitment to honorable, joyful and purposeful living.”
