A Holistic, Step-By-Step Approach to Empower Your Teenager to Become Self-Motivated

You know your teenager has potential. That's what the teachers say, too.

But he just isn't applying himself. Instead of working hard to be a good student, he spends most of his time on social media, playing computer games, or texting his friends.

He seems to be focused on everything except school.

You don't understand his behavior. Why is he so unmotivated? Or rather, why is he so motivated to do the things that don't matter in the long run?

You constantly worry about his future. Will he be able to pass his exams? Will he be able to get a good job next time?

You've tried all sorts of methods and techniques to get him to change his behavior, but nothing has worked so far.

You've tried being stricter. You've tried being more lenient. You've tried setting more rules. You've tried giving him more freedom.

And yes, you've definitely tried nagging. In fact, you probably nag your teenager daily. But it hasn't been effective.

You're at a loss as to what to do.

That's where the "Motivating My Unmotivated Teenager" Program comes in.

This isn't like some other parenting workshop or talk. During the program, I won't just give you some nice-sounding advice that's hard to apply in real life. Instead, I'll provide you with a step-by-step approach to working through the specific issues your teenager is facing.

The program typically takes three 1-hour sessions to complete.

At the end of the day, this program is about giving you practical tools so that you'll be able to see tangible changes in your teenager's behavior.

My wife and I have found the program to be useful. It is opening our eyes to potential paths we can navigate with our son.

Why This Program Is Different (and More Effective) Than Other Programs Out There

This program is unique because I'll be sharing with you specific insightsfrom your teenager's perspective. I've spoken to and worked with more than 15,000 teenagers. I've been called a teen expert, and I'm also a certified youth counselor and coach.

I'm the bestselling author of The Happy Student: 5 Steps to Academic Fulfillment and Success, and I graduated from summa cum laude from Duke University, USA (First Class Honors).

As a teenager, I went through my own transformational journey from depressed youth to happy straight-A student, which I wrote about in The Happy Student.

I understand how teenagers think, and I know what motivates them.

In addition, the "Motivating My Unmotivated Teenager" Program is conducted on a one-to-one basis (if both parents are able to attend, that's even better; that would make it a one-to-two program), so I'm able to customize the content specifically to meet your needs.

This is a key feature that sets this program apart from other talks and workshops.

The "Motivating My Unmotivated Teenager" Program...

  • Is customized to meet your needs.
  • Will relieve you of your parenting frustrations.
  • Will teach you how to get your teenager to change his or her behavior—without you nagging.
  • Will enable you to get to the root of your teenager's problematic behaviour.
  • Will show you how to increase your teenager's enthusiasm for learning.
  • Will give you the tools to bring out the best in your teenager.
  • Will empower you to communicate more effectively with your teenager.
  • Will help you to help your teenager to take full responsibility for his or her education, future and life.

Q: How do I know that the "Motivating My Unmotivated Teenager" Program will be worth the money?

A: You're not paying for my time when you sign up for this program.

You're paying for the results you'll receive. I've been called a youth expert, so you're paying for the knowledge that I've accumulated through reading hundreds of books, as well as speaking to and working with thousands of teenagers. You're paying for my vast experience in empowering teenagers to attain academic excellence, while also enabling them to find new purpose in their education.

What's the value of the benefits your teenager will receive when he or she becomes both happy and successful, in his or her student life and beyond? Thousands, or even tens of thousands of dollars.

During this program, you'll be spending a comparatively small sum of money. That's excellent value!

The price that I charge for this service is small compared to the benefits of your teenager becoming motivated and successful.

Q: How many sessions do I need to sign up for? How regular are the sessions? +

Q: How many sessions do I need to sign up for? How regular are the sessions?

A: I'll cover all of the topics in three 1-hour sessions. Because of the 1-to-1 nature of the program, I'm able to cover a lot of ground in each session.

It's recommended that the sessions occur once every one to two weeks, but this is flexible.

Q: Is the "Motivating My Unmotivated Teenager" Program still relevant to me if my child isn't a teenager yet? +

Q: Is the "Motivating My Unmotivated Teenager" Program still relevant to me if my child isn't a teenager yet?

A: The principles and tools that I'll share during the program are broadly applicable, regardless of how old your child is. But I'll be honest to say that my expertise is in working with teenagers and young adults.

Q: My spouse would also like to attend the program. Is that alright? +

Q: My spouse would also like to attend the program. Is that alright?

A: Yes, it's actually preferred that both parents attend the program together. But if only one parent is able to attend, that's fine too.

Q: Are the results guaranteed? +

Q: Are the results guaranteed?

A: Nothing in life is guaranteed, but I do have a great track record.

This program is a partnership between me and you. I give my 100% to each of my clients, so I trust that you'll also be motivated and committed to put into practice what I share with you.

If you do that, the results are close to guaranteed.

Q: Where is the program conducted? If I can't make it in person, can I be part of the program via Skype/phone call? +

Q: Where is the program conducted? If I can't make it in person, can I be part of the program via Skype/phone call?

A: I live in Singapore, so for my clients who also live in Singapore, I typically meet them in the vicinity of Paya Lebar MRT Station. I chose this venue because it's a relatively central location that the majority of my clients find convenient.

For my clients who don't live in Singapore (or who can't meet me in person for some other reason), there's good news. I also conduct the "Motivating My Unmotivated Teenager" Program via Skype/phone call. So physical location isn't an obstacle at all.
